Race for Life

“Race for Life” is a race for ‘life’, to support  cancer research in the United Kingdom.

260 events throughout the UK between May and July, with the first one back in 1994.Women of all ages run betwen 5 to 10 kilometers in the fight against cancer, in memory of a loved one or to give hope for a future without Cancer.

Photos of loved one’s, names or even just a word are pinned to the vests of the contestants in their thousands. Despite the loss of so many loved one’s there are thousands of smiles.

It is in the joy, the laughter of such an emotional event that unites a common objective : to raise funds for research.

8 million people die each year : one man on two and one woman on three.
